Looking good enough to eat is this Sushi Set from PLEATS PLEASE Issey Miyake, a special limited edition box set that was first released in Singapore back on 16 February. Having sold out quickly since then (and I’m sore that I missed out), I’m glad I caught Club21’s latest Instagram post that reports that they will be available again from 1 April at the PLEATS PLEASE Issey Miyake boutique at Forum the Shopping Mall.
So why should you fork out some SGD70 for what essentially looks like carefully-assembled fabric made to look like sushi? Well because it’s more than just an ornamental piece, of course. The maguro and tamago sushi are actually tiny purses, while the salmon roe and sea urchin (it does look like urchin, no?) are tiny drawstring pouches. Rounding up the bento box are the tiny sushi rolls, accessory bands which I reckon will be good for tying up loose charging cords.
Guaranteed to sell out even faster this round, do remember to head down to the store first thing tomorrow or call 6304-3573 to see if you can make a reservation.
