Maybe it’s just me, but it seems that more and more brands are pushing out affordable canvas bags which could only mean 1 of 3 things. To broaden their appeal and attract a new audience. To offer something different that would still be complementary to their leather bags. Or simply, just to sell shitloads more and add to the bottom line. Which in all honesty isn’t a bad thing at all, so long as it keeps the business financially viable.
But enough about the why-they-do-what-they-do, and instead focus on the bag at hand. Measuring some 38 cm across by 40 cm in height, it’s exactly what the name describes, a mostly cotton canvas tote that comes trimmed with a tad bit of calfskin leather. Still, because it is priced at some GBP565 now via Mr Porter, you shouldn’t expect too much since you’re mostly paying for the brand name that thankfully comes printed across the bag.
Other than the fact that it also sports interior zip and patch pockets which is always good as far as organisation is concerned, there isn’t much else about the tote worth mentioning, or rather, there isn’t much else left to say. The more important question would be: would you?
