Sophie Hulme Monsters Collection

sophie_hulme_monsters_collection2 Fendi has her Bag Bugs, Sophie Hulme, her Monsters. And even though I’m technically a whole season late (these are from her F/W14 collection, after all), the flip side is that most of these are on sale now online at various sites, which means picking them up for a song should be a breeze (and an added bonus).

Depicting squiggly-faced monsters that are more cute than horrifying, they show up in a wide variety of SLGs and accessories, from round coin purses and card holders featuring leather cut-outs to a pair of key holders that come with an adorable monster on each end.

And because bigger is always better when it comes to anything fluffy, you can pick from one of 9 monsters which all come with their own names. There’s Alan, for example, with the scary teeth, and Phil, the studious one that comes with his own pair of gold sunglasses. Priced at around SGD185 each and made out of rabbit fur, they are a bargain compared to you-know-who.

sophie_hulme_monsters_collection3 Last but not least, there are these tubular pouches that come with stick-on googly eyes. Made out of leather and thick enough to hold bits and bobs like, say, a lipstick, they are also a fun conversation starter that will add that bit of fun to any boring handbag.

So where can you get these babies? For starters try Net-A-Porter, then head over to MATCHESFASHION, which has a keyring and a round coin pouch in stock. You can also check out Farfetch and Shopbop, with the latter stocking both coin pouches and the smaller pom pom keyring.
