In case you’ve been living under a rock all this while, you might not know the following about Spanish luxury house Loewe. That J.W. Anderson is the new creative director, for example. That amongst other things, the new bags created for the Loewe since he took over has been doing well with both sexes, because we all know Anderson does unisex so very well. And lastly (and perhaps most importantly), that the one bag you have to buy from Loewe now was (and still is) the new Flamenco Knot, the 2.0 upgrade to the original Flamenco.
One of my all-time favourite bags, I’ve been using my Flamenco Knot to near-death; its soft-as-butter calf leather body a joy to hold. It’s also voluminous, its roomy interior allowing for much more than you think and then some. And then there are the little details, from the broad (and thick) leather straps that allow for more comfort on the shoulder, as well as the thick knotted tassels on both sides of the bag, which can be pulled on to close the bag like a drawstring pouch.
Available in 3 different sizes, the smallest of the lot is great for the ladies, the perfect weekend companion that measures 32 cm by 28.5 cm. Retailing for SGD3090, it will come in a variety of lovely colours, as well as variations in suede and exotics. And then there’s the regular that measures 40.5 cm by 37 cm, a great size I use myself as a carry-on or when shopping up and down Orchard Road. Priced at SGD3790, it’s also a bag that will age gracefully as it gets more soft and supple over time.
See it for yourself at Loewe Marina Bay Sands or Ngee Ann City, or head online to Loewe and see everything else they’ve got, along with their prices in SGD, which is definitely useful in this day and age.

Just got this in Marine. Easily the most gorgeous bag I own! Love how fuss-free yet interesting it is. Perfect man bag in my opinion.
Agreed. Still one of my favourite bags from all time that’s destined to be a classic.
The Flamenco bag in the biggest size is now selling online via Loewe. I couldn’t believe it until I saw it. I think it is a cool bag to travel with.
That’s a good sellection. This bag is better when you touch it. The photo is unfair.
But three sizes? I only know two sizes.
The 3rd one is also the largest which I tried on when I was in Tokyo last. Much too big in my opinion, even for me.
