Due out online (and in your local Burberry store) anytime soon are these pieces from the Spring-Summer 2015 Mens Burberry Prorsum collection, still one of my all-time favourite collections from the British house with pieces inspired by vintage book covers. And besides the 2 bags that were already featured here back in June (namely the Everyday Satchel and the Travel Satchel), other pieces that I’m looking forward to include the SLGs and the scarves, as well as the actual printed leather book covers that you also saw coming down the runway.
To be made available in a variety of sizes from A5 to A3, they are destined to become your standard issue fashion accessory come 2015 and you’ll also be able to pen (or draw) your thoughts the old-fashioned way.
Other SLGs include everything from wallets to card cases, along with tech cases for both the iPad Mini and the iPhone5 family of phones (no, nothing for the iPhone6 or iPhone6Plus just yet). And then there are the long, slim scarves made entirely of silk, which I think will be similar in size to the Maxi Twilly from Hermès. Last but not least, those gorgeous satchel bags, which should be priced at SGD3095 and SGD3595 for the Everyday Satchel and Travel Satchel respectively if nothing changes.
No word yet on the exact release dates, but meanwhile if you’re itching to shop anyway, you could still head over to Burberry online where they’ve already kicked off their end-of-season clearance, with markdowns on everything from RTW, bags and accessories for both men and women now available for the picking.
And for those of you keen on these pieces, there will be a post (with prices in SGD) once the collection is officially launched, so hang in there.
