Ahead of Prada’s grand opening of its Pradasphere exhibition which kicks off in Hong Kong next week, here’s your quick first look at some of the exclusives that will be available at selected Prada boutiques during the period of the exhibition.
Besides being able to pre-order Spring-Summer 2015 RTW pieces from both womens and mens collections (along with a special handmade MTO knitwear service exclusive to Prada Alexandra House, you’ll also find specially-created editions of everything from bags and shoes to accessories like SLGs to complement most everything Miuccia Prada has done that relates to the universe of Prada. And while it will be too exhaustive to feature everything here at one go (I say get an air ticket to Hong Kong, experience the exhibition for yourself and then hit the stores running to check out all the exclusives), here are some of my picks.
Shoes. It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t love Prada’s shoes, especially with the immense variety of styles they come in for both men and women. And with the gamut of prints and re-issues from S/S1997 and F/W2000, just to name a few, as part of Pradasphere’s MTO Shoe Project, there really isn’t a reason why you shouldn’t indulge, especially when you missed out the first time.
Then there are these, the Saffiano leather carry-ons that come in 6 different colours and accompanying motifs that are limited to 1 exclusive piece per combination. In other words, really rare and special, and I suspect, might cost me more than just an arm and a leg.
Last but not least, here are some bags for the ladies (and a clutch or two for the metrosexual men) that feature the same prints from Holliday & Brown as the gorgeous carry-ons. All in all you’ll find 3 styles, the Galleria, the Twin Turn-Lock and a clutch with a push lock closure in the most crazily vivid of prints that are guaranteed to put that extra spring in your step. Priced between HKD10,500 and HKD34,100, you’ll find these pieces at 3 Prada boutiques, namely Alexandra House, Peninsula and IFC.
And if you’re keen on finding out more on Pradasphere or what other exclusives will be available in Hong Kong during the period of the exhibition, keep your eyes peeled on this Facebook album (and Instagram) starting Monday where I’ll be uploading more images/snapshots.
