B3: #ActCuteSoCute

bbm466 Because I can never resist anything cute, F/W14 has been a boon for me as far as the bags are concerned, each more #ActCuteSoCute than the next. Working with Singaporean illustrator @ultravioletsdesign, here are 4 of my favourite bags that are not only big on personality but are also irresistibly adorable.

From Kate Spade’s special ‘Hello Tokyo‘ collection that features all things kawaii to Charlotte Olympia’s kitschy Chinese-inspired line of bags and shoes, there are also references to food iconography by way of both Anya Hindmarch and Moschino who paid pop culture tributes to Kellogg’s and McDonald’s respectively.

More importantly, because they are mostly hard-sided and small, they would make interesting conversation-starting alternatives to the evening clutch, or even fun casual day bags with a simple tee-jeans-heels ensemble. And because they are all pop culture icons in their own right, they almost certainly won’t go out of style and are mini bags you can use season after season.

bbm466_t-galleriaSpeaking of mini bags, if you are planning to get yourself a tiny bundle of joy anytime soon, why not join T Galleria for a night of shopping fun this Friday from 6 in the evening. Besides a specially erected wall featuring T Galleria’s tiny wonders, any spending of SGD1000 on your UOB card gets you a free 60 minute body or facial treatment at Grand Hyatt’s Damai Spa. There’s also a lucky draw planned, with 3 designer bags to be won from the likes of Coach, MCM and Salvatore Ferragamo.

To attend, simply RSVP with your name and contact number (with your number of guests) to [email protected] for an evening that includes a candy bar, free beauty services and of course, everyone’s best friend, free flow of champagne.
