van_cleef_arpels_l-ecole-hong-kong1 If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the hidden world of jewellery and watchmaking, this could be your chance to have a real, close-up look beyond the glitzy display cabinets and ‘the-making-of’ Youtube videos. The first school in Paris to give you a proper, hands-on experience of this world of craftsmanship and tradition that’s also open to the public, L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels offers courses that are grouped under 3 distinct pillars of learning, History of Art, The Universe of Gemstones and Savoir Faire.

Instead of flying all the way to France, all you need is an air ticket to Hong Kong, a couple nights’ stay and of course, HKD3300 or HKD6200, depending on which module you decide on. Registration of the modules hasn’t opened as yet, but you can always sign up here to express your interest or for future updates.

Watch the video for an in-depth explanation into what L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels is all about, an initiation of sorts into the world of jewellery and watchmaking. And then follow this link to see the modules that will be offered in Hong Kong come October. Because while everyone can say they own the latest jewellery from a luxury house, not everyone can say they know how it came about from start to finish. But with L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels, you eventually will.
