Spring-Summer 2015 Mens Loewe

loewe_ss15-mens-collection1 Barely days after Jonathan Anderson unveiled his first collection for Spanish luxury house Loewe in the brand’s new offices at Saint Sulpice (along with the full ad campaign that you can view here), the brand’s online site has also undergone a revamp in line with its new identity. More importantly, you can now view pretty much everything that the press has seen in Paris, from RTW to bags and shoes, as well as small accessories like SLGs and bag charms.

And if you were to set the country to the one you’re residing in (in my case, Singapore), you’ll also be able to see their corresponding prices in local currency. Which is fantastic since I can start planning what I intend to get from Mr Anderson’s first outing with no surprises when the pieces are eventually launched locally.

So when am I lusting for from the S/S15 collection? Pretty much everything really, from the meccano-inspired shoes and accessories that form of the bulk of my lust list, including the bag charm, pins and of course, the keyring.

First up, the reinterpreted Flamenco that’s a lot more butch than the previous ones. With the logo moved to one side and it looking generally androgynous, it comes in 2 sizes, small (32 cm by 28 cm) and regular (40.5 cm by 37 cm), which costs SGD3090 and SGD3990 for the ones that come in gold suede.

Also available in Napa leather, along with exotic skins like croc and python, you could have a look at all of the different variations here.

Measuring some 35 cm across by 40 cm in height, the calf leather ones that come hand-screened with vintage-style strips are the ones I’m most taken with. Retailing for SGD2090 each, there’s something about lugging a tote around with such a huge logo it should be wrong. Which makes it so right. Right?

I’ll be back with more posts once I get my hands on the samples, but in the meantime, besides telling me if you agree with my choices above, you should head over online to Loewe’s new site, where you’ll also see the new Amazona which also comes in a few sizes, with prices starting from SGD3990.
