Before you start reading, a quick warning, because you would probably blame me for showing you something you can’t yet have, like bringing a kid into a candy store but cruelly not letting him have any.
No stranger to those already in the know, most everything from Mansur Gavirel’s is perpetually sold out, and even with the recent launch of their online site, everything (and I mean, everything) was wiped out in the bat of an eyelid.
What makes their bags so desirable? It could just be that perfect combination of functionality, price and quality, which has loyal fans lapping it all up and coming back for more. From their straightforward no-fuss leather tote bags that start from USD625 to the USD495 bucket bags, they are truly even more popular than Hello Kitty’s last run at McDonald’s.
So what do I have my eye on at the moment? The Small Bucket Bag (shown above), which comes in 6 delectable colours. Measuring some 24 cm by 20 cm, they retail for USD460 each, affordable by most standards for something that’s made of Italian vegetable-tanned leather.
Not convinced that they are all sold out? Have a look here, and proceed to weep. And if anything changes, I’ll be sure to do another update but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.
