In about 2 days or so Burberry will be throwing one of their largest fêtes ever in the Chinese city of Shanghai to celebrate the opening of their new flagship store at Kerry Centre. Promising to bring ‘London to Shanghai’, Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey will be present along with current Burberry darlings, Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse, amongst other personalities specially flown in for the event.
Inspired by Burberry’s global flagship at 121 Regent Street, which I personally have fond memories of romping through its great halls, the Kerry Centre flagship in Shanghai will also incorporate British craftsmanship and materials, as well as Regent Street’s unique digital experience taking centrestage in the store that will also house the most extensive of Burberry and what the British fashion house has to offer anywhere in Asia.
In true Burberry style, you can follow everything that’s going on online via Burberry’s digital platforms, from Facebook and Google+ to Instagram and Twitter (wait, let me catch my breath), as well as Sina Weibo and Vine. In other words, you won’t miss out on anything either, from up-to-the-minute celebrity who’s who to an in-depth look within the Shanghai flagship.
Then there’s me. I will be in Shanghai to attend this glorious one-night-only event on 24 April, and if you’re following me on F-I-T (you know, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, just scroll to the bottom for the respective links), I promise to upload snaps and updates as frequently as I can. In-between sips of champagne, stargazing at celebrities and of course, hanging out with Christopher (as if).

With barely 4 hours to go before Burberry kicks off her largest event ever in Shanghai, here’s a pre-show teaser featuring both Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse, both whom will be making an appearance tonight.
To catch them ‘live’ amongst other celebrities, follow Burberry on all their social media channels as well as WeChat (add contacts, and under official accounts key in ‘Burberry’), which promises an immersive experience as if you were here in person yourself. While I don’t exactly know what that means, rest assured that it will be a moment to remember especially with Burberry leading the charge as far as everything digital is concerned.
