Ami’s Tropical Print iPad Case, Yacht Spikes from Christian Louboutin, Charlotte Olympia’s Pandora Pearl Clutch. In case you haven’t yet realised, I’ve been going on and on about everything nautical and inspired by the great blue sea (and of course, the beach by extension). So what’s one more, right?
Introducing the Thom Browne Blue Pebbled Suede Anchor Briefcase, from the American brand’s S/S14 collection. Known for his use of eclectic prints, his love of shrunken suits and his signature red, white and blue ribbon piping which you see on everything from his RTW to bags and SLGs, this bag is Thom Browne through and through. Besides being emblazoned with a giant anchor on the front of the briefcase (which you’ll also find plenty of on his RTW this season), it’s lined in his signature red, white and blue ribbed textile that’s finished with gold brass hardware in the form of its metal feet and locks.
Measuring about 43 cm across by 31 cm, the USD3400 briefcase which you can now get online via SSENSE also comes with a leather-trimmed ribbed textile pouch that packs a multitude of compartments for easy organisation. Which definitely makes it functional on top of being totally dashing. Which while this isn’t exactly how one should describe a bag, because it’s a Thom Browne, you’ll totally get what I mean.
