It’s been a while since I blogged about anything regarding Dior so forgive me if today’s post reads long, especially since I’ll be highlighting quite a bit about the S/S14 collection that I like so bear with me, it will be worth it.
First up, the perfection that is Jennifer Lawrence is back as the face of Miss Dior, with a new campaign lensed by French photographer Patrick Demarchelier featuring the beauty looking poised and elegant. A bag that needs no formal introduction, the one she’s carrying in lambskin (the colour is called Rose Powder, by the way) with a light gold-toned chain will set you back by SGD4800. And then there’s the one in hand-painted python skin that’s in a league of her own.
Speaking of hand-painted exotic python, here’s another bag from the French house in the fetching print. Measuring 24 cm by 20 cm, this Lady Dior from the S/S14 collection is no less stunning, especially the D-I-O-R alphabet charms that are also covered in the delicate exotic skin.
Other Lady Dior bags that are worth checking out at the boutiques at either ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands or Ngee Ann City in Singapore include the one in smooth lambskin that’s embellished with hand-embroidered Dior badges that was first seen on the runway and retails for SGD8200. And then there’s the small Lady Dior in white satin that’s almost fully covered by beads, sequins and multi-coloured rhinestones. Measuring a wee 17 cm by 15 cm, it retails for SGD9200.
Other notable mentions include the new Diorsoreal sunnies which has already been spotted on the likes of Rihanna and Olivia Palermo, vintage-inspired yet looking very now and relevant, which will set you back by SGD740 a pair. And of course, the Gum Tee earrings (they are covered in a thin layer of rubber lacquer with a silky matt finish, SGD620 a pair) that come in Blue and Pink, hues that are just perfect for spring.
Exquisite bags, cool sunnies and fun jewellery. What’s not to love?
