Cartier Amulette de Cartier Collection

cartier_amulette-de-cartier-collection1 Because nothing gets a woman’s heart beating faster than a gorgeous sparkler (or a stunning leather bag, but that’s a post for another day), allow me to introduce Cartier’s new collection that’s simply known as the Amulette de Cartier collection. For those of you who followed me on my #cartierXbagaholicboy adventures to Paris recently would remember our quick stop at Pont de l’Archevêché, a bridge spanning the Seine near Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, where one could go write a wish on a padlock, lock it to the bridge and throw the key into the river in the hope that whatever you wished for would come true.

And we did exactly that.

But unlike those you get at the hardware store, these are precious, magical talismans that you can entrust your innermost, deepest wishes to, a locket that would then symbolise all your hopes, dreams and milestones in life.

Besides show-stopping pieces like a larger bracelet and a selection of necklaces that come lavished in everything from diamonds to pink gold, black onyx and even rubies (those statement heirloom pieces start from SGD13,800 and up), you’ll also find smaller, more delicate pieces, from thin bracelets to pendants on long necklaces with a padlock charm no bigger than a coin.

Priced from SGD2490 and up, some of the pieces also come with movable parts, where you can literally unlock your charm. Which would make perfect sense when your wishes did indeed come true so you’ll be able to lock it again for the next one.
