If you missed the memo on a good leather bag that’s great for work, and stylish yet uncomplicated, here it is again. Having been a fan of leather totes from Victoria Beckham for a while now, what strikes me most is her ability (or her design team’s ability) to come out with bags that while more often than not break the bank, are somehow timeless, streamlined and a little bit alluring.
And with the new Liberty Leather Tote, that’s taken to a whole new level because while her bags usually come in at over a thousand pounds, this one’s just GBP895, or a rather affordable SGD1770 or after conversion before the VAT deduction (if you’re ordering outside the UK, that is) and shipping fees.
Measuring 36 cm by 31 cm, the full leather tote is lined with nude leather and tan canvas on the inside, where you’ll also find a large zip pocket and a couple of patch pockets for your bits and pieces. A great tote for work, you could easily throw in an iPad or two, a small MacBook and even some files if you have to bring work home, though I wouldn’t really advise it if you want to avoid bulging biceps. And if I’ve got to nitpick, the fact that it doesn’t come with the option of an additional shoulder sling is a tad disappointing.
Get it online via Net-A-Porter, where it also comes in Neon Yellow, though I don’t think that’s a good idea unless you worked in an ad agency, something to do with the arts or Butter Factory.
