Ever so often I like to mix it up a little here at Bagaholicboy and feature something that’s new, indie or pretty unique that’s not from the big boys. And today’s post happens to be just that, on a brand called Manekibook GTA that’s founded by two brothers from Kiev who are based in Prague. Working with artisans from Florence, Manekibook GTA’s DNA seems to be all about being ruggedly stylish yet hardwearing and functional.
Take the Manekibook GTA Flight Attendant Mlutch, for example, which I’m most smitten over at the moment. Made of natural vegetable-dyed leather, there’s something about it looking ‘stonewashed’ and hardly perfect that’s very sexy. The 27.5 cm by 21 cm mlutch (what you get when you combine the words ‘man’ and ‘clutch’) also promises to be functional with its slightly expandable sides, a duo of large inner compartments as well as another with a button closure clasp for things that are a tad more precious.
Retailing for EUR260 online (that’s around SGD440 after conversion, and a really good deal if I might add), Manekibook GTA does ship internationally via DHL, so all you really need to do is to head over to their online site and place an order.
And for those who are keen but need more details, I’ll do a proper once-over as soon as my review pieces arrive in Singapore. Besides the Flight Attendant Mlutch, I’m also loving the Purser Wallet, a long (and slim) leather wallet that’s a tad different from the norm. What do you think?
