I love my shoes as much as my bags, and while I blog more on women’s bags here, as far as footwear is concerned, the boys get first priority. And because blogging separately about each of the 4 pairs I’m loving right now will take too long, consider this a bumper bonus post. On the 4 pairs of shoes I’m loving/liking/wanting right now.
The Pair That’s So Cool It Hurts
Ever since I spotted last season’s Hampton Floral online and bought myself a pair, I’ve been a fan of Thorocraft. This season they’ve got the Hampton Mohawk and it’s no less desirable, especially when a) the print is gorgeous, b) the shoes are well-made and comfortable and c) really, really affordable. Like USD210 a pair, which is really nothing compared to the much pricier options we have in the market these days.
The Pair That’s All Street
While I’m a fan of high-cut sneakers, I usually avoid them because of their inherent weight, which for me becomes a problem especially when I’m out and about all day. But as far as Puma’s new Slipstream Lite collection is concerned (SGD139 a pair), that won’t be an issue. Besides being really light (thus the name, get it?), they come in 4 or 5 different colour combinations, from the black on black to the blues and yellows to another in orange and grey.
The Pair That’s 50% Off
I knew Burberry Prorsum was big on animal print calfskin boots and lace-ups for F/W13, but I didn’t know they had a pair in the form of trainers, which frankly is quite stunning. Priced at SGD825 a pair, it’s even more of a draw now (well, for me anyway) because it’s now at 50% off online over at Burberry. Which makes them SGD412.50. Which makes it a steal. Which means I should really just get them. Right?
The Pair That’s All Shiny
Surprise, surprise, French house Repetto not only makes ballerinas and pretty shoes for the ladies, they’ve also got a small selection for the men. And because the new Repetto store at ION Orchard didn’t forget about the boys, one pair I spotted and now got my eye on is the Zizi (from SGD520 a pair), their take on the lace-up oxford that comes in soft patent leather. Light as a feather and very pliable, it’s like wearing nothing at all. Plus it’s shiny…
