It’s a match made in heaven, Alexander McQueen and Damien Hirst coming together in collaboration to celebrate 10 years of the British fashion house’s skull scarf, now an icon in her own right with 30 beautiful designs in limited quantities. With Damien Hirst playing a part in this collection, it’s no surprise that most (if not all) of the scarves come with study of entomology, with butterflies, beetles and other insects featuring prominently on the silks.
And because it wouldn’t be a complete collection without some of the pieces featuring skulls, here’s one of my favourites from the collaboration that’s as beautiful and as morbid as it gets. Available at selected Alexander McQueen boutiques and online via their e-commerce site, it’s almost too gorgeous to actually wear and one could instead have it framed for the bedroom wall, which is exactly what I’ll do.

Beautiful works of art! I can’t bear to wear them. Guess I’ll get one and have it framed too.
Thanks for the post!
My pleasure!
