Linda Farrow, who is well-known for her line of luxury eyewear and her collaborations with designers like Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten and The Row, has launched a new bag in celebration of the label’s 10th anniversary. Crafted by Italian artisanal studio Bottega PB1, the Linda Farrow Watersnake-Trimmed Leather Tote is perhaps her take on a clean and streamlined tote that would well for both work or play.
A good 38 cm across by 29 cm, the gusseted leather tote narrows as you move towards the top where it ends in a long zip across the bag to keep all your essentials safe and sound. Trimmed with a tad of watersnake skin (that’s the bit on the bag that looks beige/cream), the lamb leather bag is finished off with hardware squares to accent the handles as well the brand’s logo embossed in the tiniest of fonts on the front.
Besides the main compartment (which will come with all manner of organisational slots and pockets), there are 2 more larger pockets on the front and the back of the bag with their own zips. Meant for slimmer essentials (I’m thinking card cases and maybe an iPad Mini), it’s pretty well thought out for a bag that looks this simple.
Priced at GBP1500 (that’s about SGD3000 before shipping), you can check it out for yourself online via Net-A-Porter where it was launched just this week. Quite the understated gem, if you ask me.
