It’s an odd bag to say the least, this Alexander Wang Racketeer Satchel, that is. From the front it will look like any other short-handled bag with a flap in the front. But look at it from the side and immediately you’ll understand why I’m calling it odd.
Resembling a bucket with protruding sides because the flap bags (one on each side) are stuck to a V-shaped middle, from which the handle extends, I figure it would be a bag that’s hard to carry around given its bulk, and when not probably balanced, might fall onto its side whenever it’s put down on the table.
Measuring 33 cm across by 18.5 cm in height, the Racketeer Satchel in hair calf retails for USD1900 via Alexander Wang’s online shop, while the one in regular calfskin leather sells for USD1075.
Yes, you could call it original as well, given how many new bags these days are all same-same, so at very least you’ll have to give it to Mr Wang who came up with this original style. Original, but odd.
