Beautifully sublime, no? While I admit I wasn’t much a fan of the Paris-based Italian house before, it’s clear to see how Valentino has evolved over the last few seasons under the curatorship of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, wonderfully ornate and opulent yet still relevant in today’s modern context.
There’s also something to be said about the fragility of these pieces that are part of the F/W13 collection, which just makes you cherish them more and use them ever so carefully once they become yours. From the shoulder bag swathed in fur to precious minaudière clutches studded with pearls or golden pyramid studs, each more divine than the next. What’s not to love, right?
Check them out online at Valentino, which if I’m not wrong also ships internationally to Singapore and other countries in our region. Valentino camouflage sneakers, or maybe the Rockstud Top Handle Bag, anyone?

Isn’t Valentino an Italian brand?
My bad. Yes it is registered in Milan, but shows its runway collection during Paris Fashion Week. which confuses me till this day.

I finally gave in and got myself a pair of Valentino camouflage sneakers… next on my wish list is the men’s clutch!
