I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I have yet to see a Chanel bag that I don’t like and with the new Lambskin Flap Bag from the F/W13 collection, it’s no different. A play on the original Classic Flap, this smallish 21 cm by 14 cm has one major difference in the form of an extra looped piece of leather that sticks up slightly from the back of the bag. And from what I was told, it is actually part of a zip pouch which does make sense for easy accessibility, instead of going by the front, turning the clasp and then lifting the flap to access your personals.
Also available in a vertical variation that measures 14.5 cm by 18 cm in height (this is the one I’m thinking will fly off the shelves faster given its unusual shape), they are priced at SGD3490 and SGD3290 respectively and will come in a variety of colours, from burgundy with gold-tone hardware to navy with silver-tone finishes. In other words, you won’t have an issue finding a combination you’ll fall in love with either.
And remember what I said earlier about never not liking any Chanel bag? I’m taking it all back. No, I jest. But you must admit that the Chanel Shiny Lambskin Evening Flap Bag (also from the F/W13 collection, SGD5960) reminds you of a toilet roll holder with a bag attached to it. Still, it’s not ugly, it’s just unusual. Really.
Update: 30 September 2013 Here’s another F/W13 gem worth checking out, the Chanel Grained Calfskin Vanity Case that’s part vintage, part old-world glamour (who still uses a vanity case these days?) and all class. Retailing for SGD4980, it’s something you can check out now at Chanel boutiques at Marina Bay Sands and Ngee Ann City.
