To celebrate the spanking new opening of the Zatchels pop-up at designer outlet paradise Bicester Village (think JPO but just outside of London with luxury brands galore), the good folks at Bicester Village invited me to create my very own limited edition satchel, and after much struggling, my baby was finally
conceived created, but more on that later.
Nestled within the more than 130 fashion and lifestyle brands, you’ll find the Zatchels (@Zatchels on Twitter) store in the form of a quaint little hut in the middle of the grounds, where besides being able to shop to your hearts’ content, you’ll also be able to customise your Zatchels bag (or bags if you’re feeling more than one) on the spot, from personalising it with your initials to even including a short message which is really cool.
If you haven’t yet been to Bicester Village (@bicestervillage on Twitter), you most definitely should since it is only an hour from London. I remember taking the train up back in 2009 and it was pretty convenient. The shopping was pretty good too back then (think I trudged back with 3 pairs of Tod’s or something), and with even more stores open now (think Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Dior and Prada), it should even be better. As with everything in Bicester Village, they’re also up to 60% off the RRP!
Now back to the specially customised bag. Measuring a good 16″, she’s made up of two differently coloured swathes of denim and framed by a dark navy leather body. Keeping in mind that I’ll probably be using it very often, I felt it best to keep the colour palette simple and allowed myself a dash of bright yellow on the belted clasps and the interior of the cut-out pocket.
And because both Bicester Village and Zatchels wanted me to be able to share the love, they are giving away another twin of my design to anyone in the world. That means you’ll win this special limited edition bag which is one of less than a handful ever made.
Simply follow them on Twitter, leave a comment here in this post on why you’ve to got to win it and drop me an email with your full details (you know, name, age, address, country of residence) and I’ll pick one winner in around a week or so.
Take. Part. Now.
