Since we were just recently on the topic of larger briefcases that will better serve today’s working man, here’s another spanking new contender worth checking out. From Saint Laurent comes the Saint Laurent Classic Museum Large Briefcase, which at first glance looks almost like the Classic Duffle, but there are at least 2 key differences.
For starters, it doesn’t quite have the same shape as the former, nor does it have the flap pocket which extends across the front. Secondly (and this is a key point for me since I can get rather clumsy with my bags at times), it comes in grained leather (as compared to the Classic Duffle‘s smooth calfskin), which in my opinion is more hardy and holds up to minor accidents much better.
Measuring a good 40 cm across by 30 cm by 11 cm in width, it also features an internal zip pocket and an iPad slot, which is always useful. Priced at SGD2880 and now available at Saint Laurent boutiques in Singapore, my only single gripe (albeit a minor one) is the fact that it doesn’t come with a shoulder strap, which I suspect is in keeping with the bag’s clean lines and minimalist appeal.
