Those familiar with New York City’s most iconic landmarks will see many of them represented in the Fall-Winter 2013 Womens Judith Leiber collection, which besides being the brand’s 50th anniversary collection, is also devoted to all things that make NYC unique.
Take the Judith Leiber Bethesda Fountain (shown above), for instance. At first glance I couldn’t decide if it was really a clutch (yes, really) or a home ornament since it could just as easily be, what with its ornate encrusted crystal detailing topped with a female winged angel gilded in gold.
No less ornate (or dazzling) is the Judith Leiber Grand Army Plaza Fountain, another clutch/home ornament that’s appealing to my inner magpie for all things bright and shiny. And as if all that crystal detailing wasn’t really enough, you’ll also find tiny crystal drops hanging off the clutch that are speaking (and rather loudly too) to my inner Indonesian tai-tai whom I’m convinced I was in my previous life.
Available in Singapore from October 2013 at Judith Leiber Paragon (these clutches here are priced at SGD8573 and SGD9145 respectively), where you’ll also find other NYC icons including clutches in the form of an apple (the Big Apple, get it?) and the yellow taxi cab, which I’ll post on Facebook later.
Now excuse me while I go channel my inner tai-tai/magpie/Elton John.
