If you’re a fan of Givenchy but haven’t yet found a bag style from the French house that suits you, you’ll be pleased that there will be at least 2 new shapes from the Cruise 2014 collection which should be launched come November.
First up, a hobo with a distinctly rounded base that’s not unlike those you’ve seen from other brands. What could be to its advantage, however, is the intricately detailed shoulder strap, thick, adorned with stud fixtures and other interesting hardware details. I also like its stiff rounded bottom (does that sound wrong?) that looks really sharp. Besides the one in floral print that’s shown above, there should be two more, one in dark brown leather that’s also distressed, and another in black and covered in gunmetal studs.
The next one is a tote, albeit with a bottom that’s rather odd. Or genius, depending on which side of the fence you’re on. Another beautifully structured piece from Riccardo Tisci, it’s too early to say if it would stand beautifully as well, or collapse into a heaped mess once it’s put down.
No word yet on their official names (or prices), but like I said earlier, fans should be looking forward to these new additions come the end of the year. Which of the two are you loving more?
And before I go, and while this isn’t new, isn’t she just lovely?
