Every time someone reminds me that suede is the flesh side of leather rubbed napped (meaning raised, or with a fuzzy surface), it gives me goose bumps. Especially when I imagine my own skin turned inside out and rubbed. But enough about that, since this wouldn’t exactly be the best way to be starting the post with this and trying to sell the Proenza Schouler PS1 Suede Wallet at the same time.
Priced at USD165 a pop, the 19.5 cm by 10 cm wallet is as basic as it gets, one snap button closure that opens to one main compartment, with a flap pocket at the back. Good for both the boys and the girls, it’s the kind of SLG that’s good when you don’t need all 34 of your credit/discount/VIP cards.
And because it’s relatively affordable, one who is considering a more expensive all-suede bag can consider getting this little number to try and see how well you can take care of it because at the end of the day I still believe that suede is not for everyone.
Available in a variety of colours (as well as a trio of colour combinations), you can order online via Proenza Schouler where they do ship internationally.
