When once it was a trend that came back ever so often, studs have now firmly become a perennial feature in most fashion houses. From Alexander McQueen to Christian Louboutin to Valentino and now Burberry, it’s no longer a question of who’s doing it, but finding the type of studs you like.
From McQueen’s micro, almost dot-like studs to Valentino’s four-sided pyramids, there’s one for every taste and preference. And then there’s Burberry, whose studs on this London Studded Leather iPad Case feature ‘softer’ nibs, not sharp or aggressive like those from, say, Louboutin.
Measuring 25.5 cm by 21.5 cm, this grained leather iPad case is studded on one side and plain on the other, which a) makes it more affordable and b) more lightweight then the fully studded variations from Burberry Prorsum a couple of seasons back. Priced at GBP250 online via Mr Porter, you can also get it via Burberry Singapore’s global e-store where it sells for SGD695.
And speaking of Burberry, don’t forget to catch their S/S14 menswear show via live-stream that’s happening tonight. The very first show back in London after 10 years in Milan, it promises to be one filled with wonderment and awe-inspiring showmanship as it always is.
