Every once in a while I’ll hit THE OUTNET to see if there was anything interesting. Frankly, while it’s usually a case of why-is-it-still-so-expensive-when-it-is-supposed-to-be-an-outlet, or where-ugly-bags-go-to-die, there are gems from time to time and today’s post will prove it.
First thing that caught my eye was the Alexander Wang Devere, a boxy leather handbag that you’ll either adore for being such a uniquely-shaped piece or abhor for being so, well, uniquely-shaped. It’s not a bag that’s made for everyone, but for those who like its strong, sculptural lines that are still somewhat ladylike, you’ll also love the fact that the 28 cm by 25 cm leather bag is also now around GBP250 after a hefty 60% discount.
Good for work or play, my only gripe is perhaps the colour it comes in, which while pristine when it’s brand new will definitely be stained and marked over time. Also from Alexander Wang, do check out the well-sized unisex Pelican Weekender that’s also 60% off and comes in at around SGD800 after discount.
Other great deals to be had include the Lytton clutches (one’s GBP96, the other, GBP124 after discount) from Diane von Furstenberg, Marano clutches and SLGs from Anya Hindmarch, and of course, selected clutches and shoulder bags from Valentino. Just wish the discounts were a tad deeper though.
