Another new addition to the Givenchy family of bags after the Pandora Box (yes, that is its official name), the Givenchy HDG Tote is well, curious in many ways. One of many new bags featuring expandable sides (and we all know why), the HDG Tote is, shall I say, nothing that I’ve seen from Givenchy for a long time.
I’m not hating it, but neither am I feeling it much either, the expandable sides for one doing nothing for me. Then there’s the chunky handle that ends at metal braces that don’t look flattering or particularly useful. The only plus side is perhaps the inclusion of the shoulder sling, good when one needs to be hands-free. But other than that, that’s about it, really.
Available for pre-order now via Bergdorf Goodman, the Pre-Fall 2013 bag is not affordable either, setting you back by around SGD2600 for a tote that measures approximately 28 cm by 35 cm. Yes, it’s made of leather and all, but I’m still on the fence about this one for now.
What do you think?
