Goyard: Personalisation 101

goyard_personalisation101-1Now that you finally got your beloved Ambassade, Boeing, Croisiere or even the Saint Louis (click on this link to find out how you can order one in the comfort of your own home), you could consider going the extra mile and get it personalised, with stripes and colours of your choice.

Made even easier with the introduction of Goyard’s new personalisation page on their online site, you can tinker to your heart’s delight till you find the perfect combination of stripes, initials, or  better yet, both. You start first by choosing your base Goyardine colour, pick from a selection of stripes that are either vertical or diagonally angled, choose your initials (if you want, that is) and then pick any 2 from 17 different colours to complete the personalisation process.

Send yourself the complete combination via email to keep as a reference, or send it along to Goyard together with your order to get it personalised. Do note though, while it may have taken you mere minutes to create your preferred combination, it will take Goyard 3 to 4 weeks to get it done on their end.

goyard_personalisation-101-2 Take for example Goyard’s Saint Sulpice, which costs EUR175 and EUR230 respectively for the basic and the special colours. A double-sided card case with 6 slots in all (there’s one more in the middle), personalisation will cost the same whether it’s for the stripes or the initials. For EUR120, you’ll get up to 3 stripes, or up to 6 initials. In other words, even if you’re doing 1 stripe with a pair of initials, you’ll have to pay EUR240.

If you’re looking to do metallic (gold, silver or bronze) hues, just multiply the above costs by two. Skull and crossbones are no longer done because it’s not in keeping with Goyard’s image, and if you’re looking to do a crown, you’ll actually need to prove you’re blue-blooded royalty. Stars cost EUR480 apiece, but thankfully, you don’t have to be a celebrity to get one.

Hi! Was wondering if you know how much the St Sulpice (in special colour) is now retailing in UK or Paris? I’ve tried emailing them but to no avail.

Hi, I know this is late although you seem very helpful.

My friend has purchased the Goyard Malesherbes wallet for me from Barneys New York City. I live in Australia, and there is no Goyard boutique or concession. My question is, would you know If I would be able to send it to a store for them to personalise?

    • Bagaholicboy says:

I guess the easiest (and nearest) way would be you to have it sent to Singapore, where our local Goyard boutique offers personalisation as well. Hope this helps!

Hi, I Would Like To Purchase A GM Tote For My Girlfriend For Her 20th Birthday, But We’ll Be In Paris At The Time. I Live In London, So If I Were To Order From London I Was Wondering If I Would Be Paying Paris’ Prices (Given I Placed The Order With The Paris Store Because I Require Customisation). I Was Hoping To Surprise Her And Pick It Up While In Paris. Would This Be Possible?

  • Liz says:

Hi there! I was looking for a slim wallet to get for my boyfriend, but I’m not sure of all the styles and pricing. I saw this website… XXX and there’s two I’ve seen so far, the Saint Pierre and Marc that I like. Are those prices current and is that a reputable website? I live near San Francisco, so I could go to the store to check out their selection, but their customer reviews have shunned me from going. Appreciate your help!

Kindly tell me how can I communicate with Goyard and to which email I can send my enquiries to if I want to buy a bag.

  • Rana says:

How can I view Goyard’s collection without visiting the store in person? I want to buy one by email and would love to be able to view the available designs.

    • Bagaholicboy says:

That’s tough considering the fact that Goyard hasn’t published their full catalogue online. Any particular style you’re looking for? Perhaps I could help? Drop me an email via Gmail?

  • Adelene says:

Is it was possible to email Paris to get them to do up a bag that I want to personalise prior to my arrival there as it will take up to 6 weeks for personalisation to be done. Have you heard if it is posisble? I will only be in Paris for a week in September and hence there is definitely not enough time for me to customise/collect it.

Another question is, is Goyard cheaper in Paris or in London? Heard that Paris has risen their prices and London seems set to follow suit come July. Are these hearsays or rumours?

    • Bagaholicboy says:

Yes it is. I know a couple of readers who have done it. Email/order/pay in advance, then when you reach Paris the bag is all customised and ready for you to pick up. Just drop Goyard an email, it should be fine.

Not sure about the price increment yet though, but it should always be cheaper in Paris due to the weaker Euro/stronger Singapore dollar. Have fun with your order!
