Now that you finally got your beloved Ambassade, Boeing, Croisiere or even the Saint Louis (click on this link to find out how you can order one in the comfort of your own home), you could consider going the extra mile and get it personalised, with stripes and colours of your choice.
Made even easier with the introduction of Goyard’s new personalisation page on their online site, you can tinker to your heart’s delight till you find the perfect combination of stripes, initials, or better yet, both. You start first by choosing your base Goyardine colour, pick from a selection of stripes that are either vertical or diagonally angled, choose your initials (if you want, that is) and then pick any 2 from 17 different colours to complete the personalisation process.
Send yourself the complete combination via email to keep as a reference, or send it along to Goyard together with your order to get it personalised. Do note though, while it may have taken you mere minutes to create your preferred combination, it will take Goyard 3 to 4 weeks to get it done on their end.
Take for example Goyard’s Saint Sulpice, which costs EUR175 and EUR230 respectively for the basic and the special colours. A double-sided card case with 6 slots in all (there’s one more in the middle), personalisation will cost the same whether it’s for the stripes or the initials. For EUR120, you’ll get up to 3 stripes, or up to 6 initials. In other words, even if you’re doing 1 stripe with a pair of initials, you’ll have to pay EUR240.
If you’re looking to do metallic (gold, silver or bronze) hues, just multiply the above costs by two. Skull and crossbones are no longer done because it’s not in keeping with Goyard’s image, and if you’re looking to do a crown, you’ll actually need to prove you’re blue-blooded royalty. Stars cost EUR480 apiece, but thankfully, you don’t have to be a celebrity to get one.
