It was only a matter of time before one of my favourite pieces of luggage received an upgrade, bringing it rightfully into an age where such conveniences will be appreciated. Lined with fabric printed with repetitions of twin-propeller planes, it’s encased in sleek aluminium, the perfect nod to retro-cool. The handles are also a nice touch that were kept on, thick leather handles that are comforting and reassuring to the touch.
What’s changed, however, are the new additions that will find favour with new fans. Gone are the dual wheels, replaced with a multiwheel system that just means it will now be much easier to maneuver around the airport terminal. Another important touch, the addition of TSA-approved locks, essential for those travelling into America, for example.
Priced from SGD1050 and up, you’ll find a selection of sizes available at Rimowa, which begs the question for me. Is it now time for me to upgrade and get the Rimowa Classic Flight Multiwheel?

WOW! I bought this exact same one in Pellux in Milan over Christmas, it is a beauty! Pure joy! I heart it!
Would the wheels be vulnernable to being thrown around? Thanks.
The same would apply to all other luggage as well (being thrown around and all), but I’m happy to report that my original Classic Flight luggage has stood up to that pretty well.
Would love to own one! To replace my Samsonite Oyster luggage. (FB)
