Balenciaga has the Mini Papier A4, Celine, the Nano. Gucci has the Mini Bamboo and Louis Vuitton, the Alma BB. I think you should know by now where I’m heading with this post, but for those who are still clueless (or have been living under a rock all this while), it’s about small bags. More specifically, mini versions of their larger, now iconic siblings.
And today’s tiny wonder happens to be the Saint Laurent Small Cabas Y, which is what Saint Laurent is calling it now though I swear it used to be known as the Cabas Chyc. Measuring 30.5 cm by 20.5 cm (I did say it was small), this wee little lass comes with its own adjustable shoulder sling, which makes it all the more functional.
Available in a variety of colours, the full leather bags come in Amber and Earth, along with Black. Priced at USD1850, I’m not sure how much they retail for in SG, but I do know LaPrendo has a couple in stock at SGD1910 a pop.
So if you’re in the market for something small and chic, but find the Nano too common, the Mini Papier A4 too flimsy, the Mini Bamboo too fussy and the Alma BB too hard to maintain, then the Small Cabas Y could just be the one for you.
