Unless you’ve not been following me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, chances are you’ve already caught glimpses of Loewe’s upcoming Barroco collection, Stuart Vever’s F/W12 runway offering as far as the bags are concerned. Called Barroco because of its obvious references to Spain’s baroque heritage, it’s a sensuously elegant collection of bags and SLGs embellished with flowing ornamental swirls that speak of its tribute to Spanish art and architecture.
Because there are two distinct sub-collections within this collection of bags and SLGs, today’s post will showcase what I would like to call the ‘light and creamy’ Barroco pieces, in the palest Green, the softest Lilac and the muted Stone.
Available in styles such as the Amazona and the Flamenco, there’s also this, the Loewe Barroco Arco28 that comes with a hint of baroque, floral crests topped off with solid black handles that are hard, yet soft at the same time. Measuring 29 cm by 25 cm, the Arco is what I personally refer to the square Amazona, an updated (if you will) and slightly more modern take on the latter.
I could go on and on, but have a look at the accompanying video which will give you a better idea of what the collection is all about. And yes, there are scarves too, in case you’re interested.
Expect another update soon on the prices for the collection which should be launched in October, and have a look at some more of the pieces that will be covered in upcoming posts.
