Chanel Transparent Patent Leather Bag With Boy Lock

Just so we are clear, this isn’t the first time Chanel has come out with a bag that raises eyebrows, so really, it’s not a big deal at the end of the day.

And because it’s from the Cruise 2013 collection, I guess one could assume Karl Lagerfeld was channelling the sun and the sea, which would then make this transparent PVC bag seem almost normal. I mean, if you were having a day out by the sea, the last thing you would want is to have the sticky sea spray all over your leather bag, right?

Trimmed in white patent leather and finished off with the Boy‘s trademark lock and thick hardware chain, it’s still probably going to cost you an arm and a leg, so unless you have a family fortune at your disposal, it is best to leave this little number to the princesses and the heiresses and get yourself a Classic Flap instead.

i agree with amanda. even though this bag look simple it stands out. i know that the 2.55 and the flap bag are classics but for consumers who love and dare to be different these kind of designs should be made once in a while. for example the cabas tote. i purchased it the minute it came out and till now i have yet to run in into another person carrying it.

I’m a huge Chanel fan, but I only buy the offbeat quirky pieces because to me, those are really special unlike the CF or the 2.55. This, I will get for sure.

OMG I hope this isn’t priced crazy to the moon cause if it is I just don’t know what they are thinking!

Though to be fair, I can see the appeal of the design but for something so understated, a hefty tag doesn’t suit the bill!
