Half of me wonders if this is a joke, while the other half secretly hopes this is, indeed, real. I mean, come on, who doesn’t want a gorgeous clutch that actually plays music, right? Add that to the fact that it comes in a beautifully retro-inspired gift box means it’s now officially on my list as one of the most kitschy things you can buy for yourself for F/W12.
From Anya’s All I Ever Wanted collection (again, I’m not 100% sure if this is a hoax), other pieces in this supposed collection include another Marano (which also happens to be the brand’s iconic clutch) that lights up. Literally. Like press a button and it will light up.
And, wait for it, there’s also another that ‘snows’. Really.
If these have piqued your curiosity (like it has mine), you can head down to Takashimaya Department Store from early August 2012 when the new shop-in-store boutique will officially open to the public. Not 100% sure if they will be in-store by then though, but I’m sure Anya Hindmarch will have other fun, kitschy goodies to dazzle and to amuse.
Like this Satsuma Change Purse in the shape of a sweet all wrapped up in a bright metallic wrapper. And the packaging’s totally amazing as well.
