Here’s a sneaky quick look at the upcoming Fall-Winter 2012 Womens Mulberry ad campaign, which is inspired by Maurice Sendak’s Where The Wild Things Are. Set in the English forest complete with gigantic furry monsters that are more adorable than menacing, this particular shot features one of my favourite Mulberry bags of the season, the Mulberry Maisie Clipper.
Supremely lightweight despite being made of full leather, the bag features heat-moulding technology which results in trompe l’oeil detailing on the front. Clearly referencing classic Mulberry features like the lock and buckle belt strap, it’s old yet new all at once, if you catch my drift.
Available in finishes like Silky Snake, shearling and suede, it’s one of those bags worth checking out if you’re already sick of all those icons that are being regurgitated season after season.
Before I sign off, here’s another look at the campaign that features the Lily in Flame Exotic Tweed. Pretty, no?
