Here’s a quick look at the forthcoming Fall-Winter 2012 Womens Louis Vuitton ad campaign which will start appearing in magazines worldwide come August 2012.
Lensed by Steven Meisel and featuring 10 young models, Marc Jacobs wanted the campaign to have a lightness and magical quality, adding ‘Our aim was to recreate, in a cinematic manner, the glamour of travel and the romance of going somewhere, of meeting someone, of looking out a window…’
Old-world, romantic, and set in an era where luxury was epitomised by the art of travel and actually enjoying the journey however long it took. And it sure looks like the French house has come full circle with this ad campaign as well, since Louis Vuitton was all about travel in the beginning.
