Walking into Chanel proved near-fatal today, since I nearly left a chunk of cash on the counter and came home with one of these, the new Chanel Boy wallets from the Paris-Bombay collection.
Available in a stunning array of colours and configurations, each wallet is made of quilted lambskin, soft and comforting to the touch, yet somewhat masculine with its ridged edges and distinct burnished CC clasp. It’s one of those collections even the boys can partake in, since one could argue that they are bordering on androgynous.
Retailing from between SGD1000 and SGD2000 a pop (this is just an estimate, by the way), I’ve already got my eye on a long quilted number in jet black lambskin that I’ve decided I needed to spend a couple of days mulling over.
The way I see it, as much as I love the Boy, there’s no way I’ll be able to pull the bag off, nor have that much money at one go to afford it anyway. The wallet, on the other hand, looks to be my way in, and at a price that really isn’t that bad either.
