If you haven’t already noticed by now, as far as the men are concerned, F/W12 is turning out to be really big on unusual/unique accessories for the guys, and I don’t mean just bags and shoes. Prada has plexi brooches and elongated card holders, while Givenchy will be launching a collection of nose rings.
And Burberry Prorsum? Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would have seen these, first on the runway in Milan and then in the F/W12 ad campaign. Available in a variety of the designs, the first two are now available online for sale at Burberry, including one of my favourites, the Burberry Prorsum Hound Handle Walking Umbrella.
The name pretty much sums it up, an umbrella that you can also use as a walking stick, which is as British as it gets. Besides the resin hound (which comes in 2 colours), there’s also a duck in maple wood, both of which are handcrafted by artisans in Italy.
Priced at SGD1425 a pop, they will definitely do more than keep you dry in wet weather, or or when you just need something to lean on. They will also be the perfect sartorial finish to any dapper ensemble.
