Here’s another look at the upcoming Boy bags from the Pre-Fall 2012 Métiers d’Art Boy Paris-Bombay collection, which features intricate detailing on the front flap (or on the extra-long strap) which is covered with all manner of embroidered beads and flowers.
Chanel’s showcase of master craftsmanship at its best, the artisanal crafts of embroidery, leather work, featherwork, boot‐making, millinery, gold and silversmithery are represented by seven ateliers under the brand, Lesage, Montex, Desrues, Lemarié, Massaro, Michel and Goossens, all of which came together in creating this collection, which Karl Lagerfeld refers to as the ‘the Parisian version of an India that doesn’t exist’.
Look closely at the straps and you’ll know what I mean, each lovingly festooned with crystals, beads and small metal pieces (some stamped with the house logo), others with roses in full bloom.
And though I don’t have the exact prices yet, I can confidently tell you that these will definitely cost a pretty penny, given the amount of craftsmanship that went into each piece.
Have a look at the accompanying video, which showcases just that. And do stay tuned for more updates with regards to information regarding retail prices and release dates for Singapore and the region.

Where can I buy the Paris-Bombay collection ?
Not available anymore I’m afraid Sara. It was seasonal and limited edition.
Where can I buy these bags especially the red Boy bag with embroidery strap?
Do check with your local Chanel boutique? I hear there’s a wait list for these beautiful babies.
Still prefer the normal Boy ones, eyeing the large black one now, do you know how much it is?
The regular ones? If I’m not wrong, it is SGD7000 for the largest one.
They look overworked. But I guess it has to be this way, for those hardcore fans who want something unique, special.
Drooling… and I think they will be at least $10000 to $15000 each. Or more.
