As far as I’m concerned, I only look for 3 things when I’m shopping around for a watch. How it looks, how big the face is, and last but not least, how much my jaw drops when faced with said watch. And the new Chanel J12 Chromatic is all that, and more. Called the Chromatic because of its colour, which apparently shifts between tones of black and white.
Available in 41 mm and 38 mm widths, prices start from SGD9450, which is admittedly a fair penny to spend even for a watch. I just need to head down to the Chanel boutique myself to try it out, decide if it is really worth parting with so much for it, and actually see how it ‘shifts between tones of black and white’. That would be interesting.
The J12 Chromatic also makes an appearance in the new movie, Cosmopolis. More specifically, on the wrist of Robert Pattinson, who is the lead. And if I’m ever asked which I would choose between Robert and the watch, it’s a definite no-brainer. The watch, of course, but only because the former only looks pretty. At least the J12 Chromatic is pretty, and can tell time as well.
