If you’re a self-confessed aficionado of all things Hermès, or is aspiring to be one, here’s a new tome for your consideration. Titled An ABC Of Hermès Craft, the 160-page book gives you invaluable insight to what goes on inside the French house as far as its métiers are concerned, from the making of bags and leather goods to the creation of its printed silks and crystal wares.
And that’s not all. There are a total of sixteen different types of activities carried out in the workshops at Hermès, and the book showcases some ninety-one verbs in the inventive and inspired prose of Olivier Saillard which explain the process the various techniques employed.
Watch the short video and you’ll know what I’m talking about, and for those of you who are keen to pick up a copy, they are now available at Hermès Liat Towers, priced at SGD43 each.
No guesses where I’ll be tomorrow afternoon.
