Before I get a revolt on my hands, I thought I’d better do this post, which features brogues and loafers from the Spring-Summer 2012 Womens Church’s collection, just for the ladies. First impressions? Besides generally being much prettier, I can’t help but marvel at how petite and beautifully executed they are, from the svelte Sovereign embroidered slippers to the slightly suave brogue that’s sweet in beige and white.
For the adventurous, there is also a burnished pair of brogues, as well as another with red piping on white that’s just divine. Granted, there are no teetering, ankle-twisting heels in the collection, but as far as Church’s is concerned, that’s not really the point. Instead, they are offering sensible, comfortable footwear for the ladies that’s no less attractive.
If I had to pick just one pair from the entire collection, it would have to be these, the Church’s Floral Tapestry-Weave Loafers that are simply the be-all and end-all of granny chic. With a stacked one-inch heel at the back and covered almost entirely in multi-coloured floral tapestry, it’s finished with an embroidery of a crown on the front and fully lined with leather on the inside.
You could check them out at Church’s ION Orchard, or get them for GBP225 a pop over at Net-A-Porter. Pretty, no?

I love the red burnished brogues.
These are the most amazing brogues ever!
I love loafers!!! I need another pair!!
I’ve been eyeing the tapestry pair ever since I spotted them on NAP. Would you recommend sizing up if one has broader feet?
I would. And if they still don’t fit properly, you can always send it back because that’s the beauty of shopping at NAP. Don’t like? Return.
Pretty! And pricey! Sigh…
thank you for the post BB! this season’s brogues are absolutely gorgeous. i need the beige/white one in my life! (FB)
Glad you like them as much as I do Cheryl.
