It’s not often you’ll see walking canes sold as fashion accessories, but in the case of the Alexander McQueen Skull Handle Cane (USD525), it kinda makes sense. The brand was created by a British lad and walking canes have been synonymous with Europeans since the middle ages, so it makes sense for the brand to have such an offering.
But because it’s McQueen, this black polished cane (or walking stick but that just sounds old and uncool) comes topped with a silver finished brass skull, which elevates it a tad more. And with men’s obsessions with all things phallic, you’ll probably see loads of these this year in magazine pages, along with long umbrellas (again, with the length) topped with elaborately decorated heads courtesy of Burberry Prorsum.
Umbrellas, I get. Walking canes, anyone?

fashion statement… then again, McQueen’s armadillo shoes were also a fashion statement.
Not sure who this is for. The rich and eccentric? The truly bad-ass invalid? Some young person who has lost leg function but not style sense?
Love your choice of words… the truly bad-ass invalid!!!
There are totally bad-ass invalids out there. BELIEVE.
For some reason the thing that came to my mind was… Karl Lagerfeld. Just a strange mental image!
