To celebrate the Fall-Winter 2012 Fashion Week calendar which kicked off last weekend in New York City, Miu Miu will be releasing a total of 46 one-of-a-kind handbags respectively in their boutiques in New York City, London, Milan and Paris. And true to Miuccia Prada’s style of always pushing the boundaries, she uses 17 different material combinations (and 12 special processing techniques) for each hand-made bag.
The result? A smorgasbord of bags each more unique and special than the next. From pleated leather pieces to those covered in exotic croc, from humble canvas ones that are then delicately embroidered, they will each come with their own special ID card, plus a little booklet showing all 46 siblings in this special collection.
And if I had to pick one, this would be it from the first lot that’s only available in New York City. There’s something about the juxtaposition of the raw canvas and refined embellishments that make it very visually appealing. Do you have any favourites?

I know this if off-topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
They are amazing! I would pick the first ones from the first and third row.

Like some of them, not all. Guess this their way of making sure there’s something for everyone? Any idea on the prices?
so cute!!! i like the pink and denim one!
I’m not feeling them, too ‘unique and special snowflake’. I do however love the pink snake print, I saw it on a pair of pumps in the boutique and it is delicious.
LOL! Is ‘special snowflake’ a code for something?
LOL it’s just a random Fight Club quote. ‘Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You’re the same decaying organic matter as everything else.’
