An iconic print/pattern for Pierre Hardy is their mainstay cube-print, which the French brand has been using on their bags, shoes and SLGs for the longest time. Instantly recognisable yet somehow less irritating/invasive than monogram prints from other brands, this is more a study of geometric prints than a repetition of logos, something which die-hard fans appreciate.
I haven’t seen the iPad case in Singapore as yet, and having spotted it on Net-A-Porter, a post was most definitely in order. Retailing for GBP130 online, it’s a simple coat-canvas slip case for your iPad, the monochromatic design modern and contemporary. Stare at it too long, however, and you’ll get googly-eyed. If you’re not in need of an iPad case, they’ve also got the iPhone case, as well as a card case that both retail for GBP60 a pop.
Personally, I’m eyeing the new season unisex tote, a 42 cm by 36 cm coated-canvas beauty in monochromatic print trimmed in bright yellow leather. It’s lightweight, it’s roomy, and most importantly, it comes with its own shoulder strap, which also makes it a rather good gym/weekend duffle. Retailing for GBP520, the price isn’t that bad either.
