Loewe celebrates the upcoming holidays with another collaboration with celebrated set designer and illustrator Gary Card, with this year’s theme all about the circus, with ringmasters, lions and elephants in tow. With Loewe’s brown cardboard boxes again taking the spotlight, magically transformed into clowns, rabbits, even mice.
Featured along with Gary Card’s creations are Loewe’s best gift ideas this season, from the supple and soft Flamenco in 6 luscious colours in 2 sizes (SGD2750 and SGD3090 respectively) to the new Alamo in Bright Coral, Bright Magenta and Bright Purple, retailing for SGD2250 each.
This is the Alamo by the way, which measures 27 cm by 18 cm. Styled in a classic shape in the brightest of festive hues, the calfskin bags come with a bandolier strap as well, which will always come in useful.
From bags to wallets. Here we have the Loewe Continental Wallet, a SGD1050 polished goatskin purse that comes in a wide array of colours. Someone asked me via email the difference between goatskin and calfskin, and the only thing I can come up with (besides the fact that they are from two different species of mammals, duh), the former tends to be the hardier of the two, standing up to knicks and scuffs much better than the latter.
The men need not feel left out, with a stunning array of wallets available for them in basic calf (choose from grained, polished or smooth). Ranging from SGD750 to SGD850, Loewe’s selection of mens’ SLGs in Singapore has gotten much better over the last few months, with more styles available in-store now.
Am loving the belts in these bright hues with the Loewe anagram logo as the buckle, which ranges from SGD650 to SGD850. Really pretty, and besides the ones for the ladies shown above, the ones for the guys will come in more basic colours with slightly larger buckles.
Also for the guys, a nice selection of cufflinks which start from SGD590 a pair. Love, love, love the ones with Loewe’s anagram logo in silver and gold-plated silver.
Last but not least, a special collection of bags and SLGs inspired by a trio of archival designs (Barroco, Mantón de Manila and Mariposas Españolas) which features two patterns of florals and a third with butterflies.
As far as bags are concerned, you’ll find the Ala (SGD3790) in two of the designs (which are also reversible), as well as large zip wallets (SGD1250) and zip pouches (SGD890). The tassel key rings and the pair of cute teddy bear key rings though cute, will not be available in SG.
Before I sign off, here’s the official Loewe X’mas animation video by Gary Card, which I honestly thought while enchanting, could have been a tad longer. Just a tad, but that’s just me. Enjoy.
