The one bag I’ve been talking about, but never actually talked about is the Mulberry Heritage Bayswater Satchel, the larger full-sized sibling of the Small Heritage Bayswater Satchel. A new design for F/W11, it measures 35.5 cm by 25.4 cm, and pretty much looks like the standard Bayswater with the exception of the two additional stud closure straps on the left and the right of the bag.
This particular rendition, in haircalf accented with exotic ostrich trim, will retail for GBP3500, whilst the regular ones in pebbled leather go for GBP950 a pop.
On the other hand, the original Bayswater goes for GBP775.
In other words, Mulberry just made GBP175 more on this bag by simply adding the shoulder strap and the two front straps. What do you think? Do you buy it? Or would you actually buy it?

might sound silly but is it cheapest to get mulberry in london itself?
Yes, or just head online and buy it there. Prices listed there are in GBP, same as what they charge over in the UK.
775 and 3500… such a huge difference for JUST TRIM… if the bag is made out of ostrich, i would understand… but TRIM? HELLLOooooo!!! overprice much?
Not feeling this one either. Mulberry should learn: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
the 2 extra straps are totally unnecessary. mulberry needs to crack their heads to come up with something exciting and new. they cannot stay in the shadows of bayswater and alexa anymore…
it’s sooooo much better than the quilted Alexa.. its actually sellable… (T)
I would probably stick to the original Bayswater. I’m eyeing one actually!
Kinda looks like a Far East Plaza knock-off of the Bayswater no? (T)
