If you have ever wondered how Gucci bags are assembled, here is your rare chance to catch the artisans at work in Singapore. For starters, you will be able to witness first-hand the various steps involved in creating the bag from start to finish at Gucci Paragon. You also get to see (and perhaps feel) huge swathes of luxurious tanned leathers that are used in the making of the bags, as well as a mini exhibition of sorts that charts the heritage of Gucci’s fine craftsmanship.
A fascinating process, you’ll see the artisans working hard on their assigned bags as well as offering the complimentary hand-embossing monogramming service that’s available for Gucci’s bags and SLGs spanning the duration of the exhibition.
Last but not least, here’s a short video of the making of the New Bamboo that will hopefully whet your appetite and pique your interest a little more till you get to the exhibition proper. Open to the public, the artisans will be on hand from 12 noon to 8 at night today, as well as 3 in the afternoon till 7 in the evening tomorrow.

Yup! Caught the Hermès one at Paragon recently… seems like these powerhouses are showing their ‘behind-the-scenes’ as a new (fresh) perspective?
Seems like the in-store craftsman working on the bags trend is catching on. We saw the Fendi’s a couple of months back. Tod’s did one in HK some time back. Maybe LV might do one at its spanking new Island Maison?
Don’t forget that Hermès and Loewe did theirs recently as well in Singapore.
